Musings 1318.172 Almost a year!

I just realized that very soon I will have been blogging a full year!

This is an important milestone, because when this was just an idea, I knew there was content for my love of art and sustainable, but wasn't sure I could make the commitment and keep it up for this long. There were times I was completely uninspired and the last thing I wanted to do was blog. Each instance, I persevered, never giving up, happy every time I saw it through and learned something in the process. 47ish weeks later, I have 6 followers, 2 people who comment regularly, and lots of social media likes. It's still a journey that I'm glad I started, have been toying with the idea of posting twice a week, although I have no clue where I'll find the time but still wouldn't trade it for the world. I now have a skill I didn't posses before and couldn't be more proud. I've also received numerous compliments on my writing style, something I never anticipated. I'm pretty sure the massive reading I do helps alot. I'm currently on book number 28 this year and it's only June. A little part of me always wanted to be a writer but thought no one wanted to hear what I had to say. I wasn't struggling, no hardships to speak of, and no more adversity than the average person. I figured who wants to hear from a semi-well adjusted working middle class woman with lots of opinions?

Now, I look at my pages of posts with pride, I write with more confidence, fine tuning my voice, such as it is, and realize my html skills still need alot of work, but hey, it's a process, right? Happy almost birthday ArtBong!

  1. You're doing great, kiddo! I love your blog and am proud that you're proud. I usually check in from my phone, and this... doesn't help me see your entire offering. I promise to do better by coming straight to the source at least once a week!
